Dreamt I was attacked and had a nail shot down my throat?

I have been having very vivid dreams this past week that are strange but this one took the cake. I had a dream that I lived in upper NY and was returning to my flat. When I opened the door I was attacked by a man who I felt was my father but didn't look like him at all. I knew he was going to kill me. Then I suddenly felt a jab on the inside of my throat and fell to the ground. I watched him walk out.





I then heard people talking and I opened my eyes in my dream to see a crime scene team. They were talking about me as if I were a homicide victim and I couldn't move. Then the next thing I know I'm alone in the flat where I just saw the police but no one was around. I stood up and still had a sharp jabbing in my throat. I had a horrible metallic taste so I went and looked in the mirror and opened my mouth. In the back of my throat was a large nail hammered down into my throat. I couldn't speak and I ran out for help to have it removed.





When I got outside I was back in my real city and no one would help me. I turned and saw the man who originally assaulted me previously in my dream. He ran after me trying to attack me again. No one would help. I woke up in a start.

You felt like he was your father so the obvious thing to say is that you have bad feelings towards him. You were living in upper NY probably signifying you were living a nice life, until you were killed. You might feel like your father, or someone else, is keeping you from having a happy life.





To dream that you are killed in any circumstance is a symbol that you feel threatened or in danger. Since you felt like no one could help, you feel like you are in a helpless situation.
