Can the brand of nail polish affect how fast it starts to wear down and chip?

I am a tad frustrated with the red nail polish of brand ';M';. It seems to me that I cannot wear red nail polish without it chipping on the 2nd or 3rd day. I have tried other Answerers' advice on wearing rubber gloves while washing dishes, reapplying top coat every 2 or 3 days.....but they still chip while my other bold dark nail polish, of other brands, chips after 5 days or so.

Do different brands of nail polish react differently to the pH of the nails? Maybe the ';M'; brand is not my right brand? Can the brand of nail polish affect how fast it starts to wear down and chip?
A lot of the time it is the brand of nail polish. I've got a few cheaper ones that will completely peel up after a day or so. The best way to keep nail polish on is to wash your hands, take nail polish remover and wipe your nails off so there's no residue between your nails and the nail polish, apply a base coat, 2 coats of color, then the top coat. The nail polish can still potentially chip if you aren't careful, but whenever I want to keep a nail polish color on for a long time I actually touch up the top coat daily. Good luck! Can the brand of nail polish affect how fast it starts to wear down and chip?
Ya, I wear Chanel nail polish and it NEVER chips
