I filed my nails down too low, and my nails are now damaged. Any suggestions on how to repair them?

I filed the surface of my nails, not the tip. I now have what looks like holes in my nails and they hurt, especially when touched. I know I shouldn't have done it, but I was out of nail polish remover and I was desperate to get the nail polish off. My nails now have an uneven surface. Also the tips are so low my skin is showing. That I didn't do. When I had nails before I filed them low, something happened. I don't even know what, but all of a sudden I noticed. Please, don't judge. I have been trying to wait it out, and I have applied a 4-in-1 nail strengthener. Nothing seems to help right now. I am desperate, so if anyone can tell me what I can do, or if they you have had something similiar happen, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.I filed my nails down too low, and my nails are now damaged. Any suggestions on how to repair them?
You'll just have to wait.

Soak them in olive oil. My friend told me it makes her nails stronger and healthier. I didn't try for myself yet.

You'll just have to wait till they are in a healthier condition. It takes time for them to grow you know.

Don't do this again =( It's not good.

If you don't have nail polish remover, then wait till you get some (or at least borrow some) instead of hurting yourself and damaging your nails.

Really, seriously, don't do this again!

Plus, if you use nail polish, ALWAYS give your nails a rest.

Be patient.

Learn your lesson.

Things will get better.... if it hurts badly, you probably need to see a specialist cuz you might need vitamins or something for your nails.
