Nails holding the shingles down turned white.?

I know that the nails turning white during winter is normal, because it's a reaction to the snow and minerals and everything else. My problem is that you can se the nail being white from the inside of the house, does this mean snow or water is leaking?Nails holding the shingles down turned white.?
The Zinc often does turn white. No harm.Nails holding the shingles down turned white.?
condensation is going to occur if you have three tab or ar shingles. Is your attic well ventilated?Galv. roofing are going to oxidize no matter what the conditions.Take one or two galv. nails and subject them into the same place(attic) and see if they react in the same way.Be sure there isn't a chemical stored in the attic that is doing it and do you have a pool or chemical company near by? If nothing else check to see if the attic is ventilated well.
