Can I screw down 1/2'; osb over existing hardwood and then nail hardwood over it?

Trying to avoid ripping up flooring before installing. Don't want laminate or engineered. Don't care about any height problems because it is whole house. Can I screw down 1/2'; osb over existing hardwood and then nail hardwood over it?
why are you putting 1/2 osb down? is the old hardwood unlevel ? as long as the other flooring is solid and even you can go right on top it would be best to go perpendicular to the old flooring. You do realize you will have to cut down everydoor interior door and jambs. Most exterior doors can't really be cut down. hydro baseboards will have to be adjusted. heating ducts adjusted top of stairs will be a problem .

Other than that there is nothing wrong about your plan
