If the nail has spit down the middle then she needs to go to the vet as its an infection risk (infections in toes are a nasty business too). Also she could be in pain just not showing it.My Dogs Nail Split Down The Middle?
I'm not a veternarian but my dog has had the same thing happen and what I do is get my dog's clippers and clip them down as far to the quick as you can and this seems to take care of the problem. I have learned to clip them before they get too long to prevent this from happening.
