I put down the floor you ask about a little over a year ago. Plans called for gluing and 10d nails at 4'; along the edges and 10'; in the field. This winter didn't have a roof over half the 800 sq ft floor. Got wet a few times. Floor is fine now.I am putting down 3/4 t-g subfloor should i nail it or screw it and what size should i use.?
T%26amp;G? Don't nail or screw! Use Jablite underneath the T%26amp;G, and use a bit of PVA on the tongues! It works brilliantly!
I've always preferred screws due to the fact that down the road the subfloor will hold tighter to the joists and you'll have less noise and squeaking.
