Why is it considered necessary to nail down the lid of a coffin?

Go to the funeral section. Why is it considered necessary to nail down the lid of a coffin?
Sometimes when land shifts over the years, the coffin lid will open and the body will slide out. If you nail the coffin shut, this won't happen.

But I am not sure how this pertains to elections.

Why is it considered necessary to nail down the lid of a coffin?
It's to keep the lid from falling off on some makes of coffins when the coffin is moved. Some modern coffins have latches to keep the lid from popping open during transport.
what evey failed to realize is that this is a pseudonym (probably got it wrong because im three sheets to the wind) and it infers complete and total domination in victory
To make sure the corpse doesn't spring to life and start sucking the blood out of the villagers at night. Why else?
OMG!!! It's GRANDMA!!!
You are in the wrong section.
