The partical board is over a three quarter plywood sub floor and I am using 2 inch cleat nails with a pnumatic cleat nailer.Can I install bamboo nail down floor over particle board that is half inch thick ?
I don't think particle board will hold the nails strongly enough. You should pull that up and replace it with another layer of plywood for the best subfloor.
